ABOUT US

Autism Welfare Trust is a public trust, established under J and K Trust Act 1920 in Kashmir. The trust has been established with a sole motive of creating and providing avenues for those children which are affected by various Autistic and other developmental disorders, which are not able to get facilities that can lead to their betterment and positive growth. Since Autism itself encompasses various levels of disorders the scope will cover anything related to Internal, Cognitive, Behavioural, Sensory, Social and Environmental issues leading to Autism disorder.

The Trust will work towards providing various facilities which make the lives of affected children easy and try to lead to their betterment and integration with society. This will be by educating people about Autism Disorder and various interventional therapies and treatments that are available world over for well-being of Autistic children. This will be done by establishing Autism schools, Clinics, Hospitals, and other institutes which will directly help in spreading the knowledge about autism and will directly affect children and people affected by Autism. This will be a step leading towards their integration with the society in a healthy way. The avenues will be a boon to people of Kashmir as there is no trust specially dedicated to Autism. Few of the tenets of the trust are as below

To have a residential care facility for long term care for children who cannot take care of themselves or who need prolonged or lifelong Care.
To provide early intervention with focused Physiotherapy, Speech therapy & occupational therapy & in addition to educational aids like Music therapy.
To provide the autism Spectrum Children exposure to a normal School Environment with cooperating schools so that they can integrate better with Normal Society.
To provide financial and other aid/assistance to autistic children for the purpose of welfare and education and sustenance of livelihood.
To provide assistance to the deserving and intelligent autistic children to pursue higher education and employment.
To organize training programs in different fields of developments and education.
To open and conduct branches and to undertake such other activities for furtherance of all or any of the object of the Trust.
To start encourage assist and many on such other activities, which are encouraging Autistic Children.
